Casting is an industrial technology for forming liquid metal. In the traditional foundry industry of China, the most commonly used casting technology is sand casting. Sand casting is the production of castings in sand. Sand casting can produce most of the common metal castings such as steel and iron. Sand casting has the advantages of low price, easy access to materials, simple and convenient method of making casting models, and it is also very suitable for the production of single castings or batches of large-scale castings. Since the founding of foundry industry, sand casting has been the basic traditional process in foundry production. But each sand abrasive tool can only be poured once, and the mould will be damaged and scrapped immediately after the casting is formed, so the production efficiency is relatively low and the mould needs to be remade continuously. Moreover, because the sand is soft and has many holes, the precision of the castings to be formed is relatively low, and the surface finish is poor, rough and for aerospace and navigation. Precision castings in the air and high-end automotive industry are difficult to process. In order to improve the quality of castings, reduce the cost of processing, make Chinese products into China and meet the high-end needs of the aviation, aerospace and high-end automotive industries, the foundry industry needs new foundry technology. Therefore, the new foundry technology of special foundry should be developed. It is born.
